This was my first AAA title to work on. I was an intern at Raven and was given the task of blocking out the caves and scripting the combat and moments from falling into the ice cave system and reaching the lake (minus the underwater breach sequence). The caves gave opportunities to create AI “entrances” that weren’t the norm (like having them fall from the ceiling). The unique geometry also allowed the player and AI to use boost jump traversals making the space feel more alien and hive like.
